December 6, 2007

We held our first society banquet. Sam and Hollie graciously offered their home for our meeting place. All the Kidz were in attendence except the Maddie, Allysan, McKay, Adam and Luke, who was sick that night. We ate, played and ate some more. In the middle of it all, we had each one share their progress in the Averdovian Challenge (scripture memorization). Everyone seemed to have a good time.

Luke's first broken bone!

This little one is so active that I imagine that there will be more of these---sorry Dillon and Nicole! But he is active! He is letting some of his cousins sign their names on his cast. (I remember when Landon broke his arm, he would not let us sign!) So thank you Luke.

We finally have a picture of Carter at his basketball game. He is the best player on his team. They shoot on 8 foot basketball hoops, so his dad doesn't want him to shoot too much and get used to the shorter hoop. It is obvious that he knows the game and plays well.

Also, we have a picture of the cutest DRAGON on the socker team. Max is on the Dragons and it was Freezing!!! that day. He has on cute gloves that actually have a dragon on the palm of them. I don't know what he liked better, playing socker or looking at his cool gloves!

First Touchdown

Landon made his very first touchdown. He is a mighty football player. It was so cute to see him running down the field to the end zone all by himself that grandma even started to cry!

The President of the United States, Miss Madison

We are so proud of Madison for going with her parents to see Mitt Romney who is running for President. Madison will do great things, we all know! You are an amazing young girl!

Pure athletes

I've been following my grandkidz in their sports activities. CARTER, CUTLER AND LANDON have each been playing basketball and football respectively.

Sam is CARTER'S basketball coach. Because CARTER can score at will, Sam has layed down a rule that CARTER must follow. He is not to score without permission from the coach. I've noticed it has caused CARTER to be a proficient passer and playmaker.

CUTLER is playing football. His speed makes him an important member of the team. This last game, however, he slightly sprained his ankle just before the game which slowed him down some.

LANDON is in on every football play. He seems to have a eye for the play because he's often the one to pull the flag on the opposing quarterback.

SPENCER'S basketball season (as well as all the other Kidz) begins next month.
